Notes on the perfect fifth and inverted fifth intervals

If the interval starts on a white key the 5th is also a white key with 3 skipped white keys between except B  where the 5th is a black key and 4 skipped white keys between.

The inverted 5th has 2 skipped white keys between.

If the interval starts on a black key the 5th is also a black key with 2 skipped black keys between except Bb where the 5th is a white key.

The inverted 5th has one skipped black key between except Bb which has 2 skipped  black keys between.

Practice these changes on your left hand, you will need them to play bass lines.
